The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all, including the photography world and photo sessions, in ways we could never imagine. We’re all watching as the world begin to open up again. We know there is no longer a true “normal.” Our time in quarantine has give us the chance to embrace our new way of life. We’ve learned to slow down, enjoy time with our families, and value the things that really matter. Lived in the moment and treasured the memories. Learned what is truly important – and what we can live without. As the studio tentatively plans to reopen this month, I wanted to reach out to update you on what I’m doing to keep myself and clients safe now and going forward.
Digital Connections
Clients and I are connecting digitally via Zoom, Facetime, and Messenger whenever possible. All design consultations to prepare your session and all ordering appointments after your session have been moved to online. You will get the same exceptional experience as always, just at a distance! The first look at your slideshow, all the emotion of seeing your images the first time, and me to help you choose the artwork that fits your family best – all from the comfort of your own couch!
Maintaining Social Distancing Standards
A 6 foot social distance will be used during all sessions. However, that’s my norm due to the lens I shoot with, so no big change here! You can expect the same beautiful photographs. I will also be wearing a mask during all sessions. Additionally, there will be no back-to-back clients so as not to crowd an area and locations will be chosen so that social distancing can be maintained. Only outdoor sessions are available at this time.
Client Closet/Hair and Makeup
All dresses in the client closet will be dry-cleaned following use. For now, access to the client closet will be limited. Additionally, hair and makeup may not be available until salons and spas are allowed to reopen. If you are interested in either of these aspects of a session, please contact me directly for more information.
Your Health Comes First/Rescheduling
I want everyone to remain healthy and happy. Therefore, sessions can be rescheduled with 24-hour notice (up to 2 times) if you or a member of your family are not feeling well.
Contactless Drop Off and Pick Up
Once your order arrives and is checked for perfection, it can be dropped off or picked up with no contact service. Complimentary shipping direct to your house is also currently available. You will just need to confirm your delivery electronically once it is received.
In addition to these steps, I’m monitoring the latest information including recommendations from the CDC, World Health Organization, and Professional Photographers of America regarding COVID-19 and photo sessions and will make further adjustments as needed. The health and well-being of my clients, team, and community are vital and will continue to be my north star as we all navigate the road ahead.
